On November 15, Mr. Steve Kim delivered a presentation titled “Esports Olympic Movement in Asia.” He outlined the global standards and governance initiatives led by AESF, including anti-doping and anti-e-doping measures for esports, the game title selection program, and the “Esports for All” program, which promotes inclusive opportunities for women and para esports athletes. These efforts position AESF as a leader in advancing esports toward broader global recognition.

During the panel discussion, Mr. Kim elaborated on AESF’s initiatives to support esports athletes. He highlighted the importance of the Athletes' Commission, which serves as a key stakeholder group. The commission provides a platform that bridges AESF with its members and connects esports and sports athletes.

In addition, he discussed collaborations with universities aimed at creating opportunities for student esports athletes while enabling professional athletes to pursue tertiary education. Mental health support was another key focus, with efforts to promote well-being through workshops on ergonomics, mental health, nutrition, and exercise.

Mr. Kim further emphasized physical health support, such as physiotherapy sessions, and advocated for the recognition of esports athletes at Olympic-related esports events. This recognition is facilitated through collaboration with National Olympic Committees and National Esports Federations, ensuring that athletes receive the acknowledgment they deserve. These efforts underscore AESF’s commitment to enhancing the esports ecosystem and ensuring holistic support for athletes at all levels.

This was followed by a presentation from the IOC Associate Director of Esports, Mr. Stephane Fillastre, on the upcoming Olympic Esports Games 2025. Lee 'Faker' Sang Hyuk, a renowned esports athlete, also shared his inspiring experience competing at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
